All night shopping trip :)

It has become a family tradition for us to shop on black Friday....crazy I know! We always have so much fun and laugh A LOT. We also love the thrill of the fight! This year, toy r us opened at 10pm on Thursday, so we thought we would go shop ALL night! My mom, Stacy, and myself left the house about 7:00 Thursday night and headed to Tyler. We went to Micheals first because they were already open, we got some really good deals there and then headed to toys r us! We met up with some friends who were doing the same crazy thing we were doing. We were all sitting in the car in the heat until the store opened. We definitely had a good time and lots and lots of laughs!

We didn't actually get into the store until 12:30, we waited 3 hours to get in...CRAZY! But, we got everything we wanted and more!

We ended up shopping until 5:00am, then we went and took a nap until 7:00am and went back out. We called ourselves "team green" because we all had matching Christmas shirts.

We met Aunt Laura, Nanny, and Samantha for lunch, this is also another tradition

This Mexican food tasted SOOO good after being out all night!

The back of our "team green" shirts!

I didn't get home until 3 the next day, but we had lots of fun and got lots of good deals!!

Coloring and Christmas PJS

Nathan LOVES to color these days. That's all he wants to do, it's so cute! The other night we broke out the Christmas pjs and he looked so cute coloring in his pjs that I had to take some pictures...

I am so happy its the Christmas season!!

Just the Way You Are

The girls on the basketball give me new songs to listen to all the time, (I think they try to keep my hip) but, sometimes I really enjoy the songs they give me. A couple of weeks ago, one of them told me to listen to a song called "Just the Way You Are" by  Bruno Mars. It is a love song, but its a good one. When I listen to the words however, I can't help but think about my precious baby boy. So I am going to change the words a little to speak to my Nathan. This is my song to my little sweetie....

"Just The Way You Are"

Your eyes, your eyes,
make the stars look like they're not shining
Your laugh, your laugh,
melts my heart without even trying
I love you so much,
and I tell you everyday

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
My whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause Nathan you're amazing
Just the way you are

Oh you know, you know, you know
I'd never ask you to change
If perfect's what you're searching for
Then just stay the same

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
My whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause Nathan you're amazing
Just the way you are

I love my Nathan so much and I am so thankful that God gave him to me. My prayer for him is that he always knows that he is AMAZING just the way he is!

Bragging a little......

Ok, so I know it is a typical mom thing to want to brag about your child, I normally don't like to be typical, but I am going to brag on my little Nathan for just a little bit.......

Before I tell you the story, I want you to keep in mind that he is 21 1/2 months old. Not even 2 yet!

Tonight we were in the living room playing, he brought me a coloring book and said, "color". I don't keep the crayons where he can reach them or have access to them 24/7 for obvious reasons, so he knows if he wants to color, he has to ask me. I went and got the colors for him. He pulled them all out of the box and onto the floor and started coloring with me. He was naming EVERY color in the box as he was coloring with them, even naming the ones he was handing me. As we were coloring pictures of animals, he would say, "color blue eyes" as he was coloring the eyes blue, or "color feet green"! I was so impressed with this, that I started testing him and asking him to color different things different colors. He got almost all of them correct! I was so impressed with him. As I was sitting there in my proud mommy moment, he pointed to the words at the bottom of the page that said, perrr-fect pet, and can you believe it....he started telling me the letters!! He knew all of the letters except the c!!! We work on letters and colors, but tonight, he totally impressed me and I am one proud mommy!!!  I love this little boy!!!

Smores at the Deer Lease

For opening weekend of deer season, we headed to our deer lease in Timpson. We always have a good time just getting away from everything. Friday night, we had a bonfire and the boys loved being outside and making s'mores.

World Series Party

Although the World Series didn't turn out the way we would have hoped, we still enjoyed cheering on the Rangers. For game 4 of the series, we went to Aunt Vicki's to watch the game. We had good ballpark food and had fun watching the game with family and friends!

Fall Festival #2

Fall festival #2 was at our school on Saturday night. We decided to spike Nathan's hair and put some color in it, and paint his face to look more like a clown since he wasn't a fan of his hat. He did not like us fixing him up, but I think he turned out so cute!!

Pawpaw, Gammy, Aunt Stacy, Uncle Chris, and Reese all got to come!

And so did Papa and Colton!
