Galveston 2010

I love our summer trips to the beach. This was Nathan's second time to go the beach, but the first time to go to Galveston. The last time we were in Galveston, he was inside me still, then last year we went to Gulf Shores instead because of the hurricane damage. I think it is safe to say that he LOVED Galveston. We always stay at the San Luis Resort, which is super nice. This was the view from our room!

Nathan enjoyed playing on the beds...

We weren't there 10 minutes, and we went down to hit the pool!

He was so excited!

We stayed at the pool for a while, then went to Landry's for dinner

We LOVE seafood...well any food actuall! LOL

Nathan and PawPaw on the way back to the hotel..

The next morning, the boys left before the sun came up for a fishing trip, and I went for a little run. Then I met Mom, Stacy, Nathan, and Reese for breakfast at IHOP!

we stopped for a photo op before going up to our room to play

We did a little bit of shopping, then hit the favorite spot on the beach for the kids....

The boys met us there for a late lunch after a great fishing trip

Gotta love those chocolate VOLCANOES!!!

Gammy then took the boys to the build a bear inside the Rainforest cafe. Nathan made a giraffe and Reese made a Rhino. They had so much fun!

Nathan kissing the heart...

Bathing his giraffe...

Filling out the birth certificate...

Carrying it home...

The boys were pretty tired after the long and early fishing trip, so they went up to take a nap and us well......

we hit the beach!

It was a nice couple of hours.

That night, we went to my favorite place on the island...Fishermans Wharf!

The next day, we went to Palm beach at Moody Gardens! It was a blast.

The boys had so much fun playing in the sand!

He finally gave in for a nap about 1:00

It was so sweet

We buried Reese in the sand!

We ended our trip the next day with a trip to the aquarium

Didn't take long for Nathan to start making his fish face

It was a great vacation!

Happy 26th

My birthday is July 5th. My mom always called me her little "firecracker" baby. (for more reasons than just the date, ha!) Its good to have a birthday on a holiday I guess, because everyone is already getting together.

On Saturday, we went to the Skinner house to celebrate the 4th and all of the July birthdays. Nathan had fun playing with his cousin Colten.

He loved it when Granny took him outside to see the "moo" cows!

It was a nice time with the family, unfortunately Matthew was working all weekend. The 4th is one of their mandatory work holidays. :( We always miss him when he can't come with us. On the 4th, we went to Aunt Laura's to swim and have our annual fish fry. Its always a lot of fun.

Gammy and PawPaw took the boys home with them for the night! They were so excited to load up in their car!

On my actual birthday, the 5th, Mom, Stacy, Reese, and Matthew took me out to lunch, then the girls went shopping for the rest of the day. It was great!

When I got home from shopping, this was on the counter:

It was so sweet, Matthew and Nathan had their own special Birthday party planned for me. I LOVED it!

My card from Nathan,

My favorite gift!!!

It was the perfect birthday party!

Then we went to my moms house, because she wanted to a party for me and Chris whose birthday is the 24th! Ever since Reese's birthday, he has been telling me to have a barbie party, so guess what, I did! He helped his mom make the cake.

We had big plans to play on the water slides, but it was raining, so we just stayed inside and had a good time playing with the boys and a good game of scrabble!

The rain however, did not stop dad from smoking some of my FAVORITE chicken!!

Playing guns with Meme

Of course Reese got me a barbie!

I have to say, this was a great birthday!!!!
