WE ARE STATE BOUND :)

This weekend we played in the regional tournament to win the chance of playing in the state tournament. Friday morning we defeated Zavalla 62-36. Then we had Honey Grove Saturday morning, winner goes to state, loser goes home. All year we have heard about how good honey grove is. We had several films on them and saw them play in person twice. No doubt they were a good team, but we were the better team!

Here we were before the game...

Here we go....SHOW TIME!

Let the celebration begin!

They form tackled me on the court! :)

We're going to state!!!

Nathan was so happy and clapping, he keeps saying "lady, clap clap, mustangs, clap clap"

We play in the state semi-final game Thursday morning in Austin vs. Falls City.
Should be a good game and we are hoping for two more victories!

If you're happy and you know it!!

Today was a beautiful day outside. Nathan and I stayed out for a long time, he loves singing songs and I just love watching him!! His favorite part of "if you're happy and you know it" is the part where he gets to do all three. He does them out of order, but still super cute!!

Playoffs

Our Playoff run has begun! I LOVE this time of year, it is what we work hard for all year. We had a bye in Bi-district since we were district champs. We played our area game last Friday and defeated Sam Rayburn 52-23. We are now headed to the regional quarterfinals which is tonight vs. LaPoynor. The winner of this game goes to the regional tournament which will be this weekend....hope we make it!

Don't tell Daddy!

The other day Nathan brought me his monkey and his Texas hoodie. He said, "Momma, Monkey needs a jacket!" So we worked together and got his hoodie on the monkey......

Looks pretty good right?

Then he decided that his Blue needed a jacket too, so we put one on blue and they all lined up and sat for a picture.

He was really proud of his monkey and blue.

I don't know what you are thinking, but I was cracking up that my little BOY wanted to "dress up" his stuffed animals! At least it wasn't a baby doll.

The next morning, I got a text from his day care teacher, who was laughing with me that said, "Nathan has a baby doll in his arms in the rocking chair, and he is just a singing to it!"

That same night, I came in the living room to see this.....

He had 4 animals sitting at his table, and he was singing to them.

It was sweet, but also a little funny to me. I always imagined a little girl imitating the things I do but never a boy...SSHHH, don't tell Matthew!!!

Nathan's 2nd Birthday

Ok, so I know I am about 3 weeks late on getting the pictures up, but, better late than never right??

For his 2nd (I can't believe he is already 2!) birthday, we had a small party at our house. I was worried about the weather with all the snow, ice, sleet that we had been having, but on the day of his party it warmed up to 60 degrees! We got to have it outside. That morning Judy and Rex, or Juju and Rex as Nathan calls them, came to set up a bounce house for Nathan and all of his friends. Then around lunch time, Gammy and PawPaw came to help me with setting up the table and all the decorations. My mom is so creative and always makes everything look so nice, thanks for coming early mom! You will be able to see by the rest of the pictures how much fun Nathan had. It was a very special day for him!

Here is the finished table...thanks to my mom!

Nathan's cake made by the very famous Marlo Bitter :)

The cookies!

The really cute suckers that my mom had made for Nathan. They said "Nathan's 2nd birthday" on the back!

Nathan and PawPaw before the party

Going outside to see everything set up!

Bounce House fun!
He loves to "nump nump" :)

Nathan loves jumping so much that Santa brought him this trampoline for Christmas. The kids had fun going from bounce house to trampoline!

Me and Reese!

Aunt Stacy making feel special on his birthday!

Me and my little man!

After lots of playing outside, we came in to have cake and cookies and then open presents!
Nathan was SOOO excited when he saw his Blue's Clue's cake!

He blew his candle out all by himself!

Present time! There is no shortage of toys around our house :)

Then it was back outside for more play time with his friends.

Happy 2nd Birthday Nathan, I love you!
