Surgery Day

Yesterday was a LONG day. We left the house at 6:00am and headed to ETMC Olymmpic Plaza for Nathan's Surgery. He had tubes put in his ears and had his adenoids removed. We got there by 7:00, got checked in, then they put us in holding until 9:30. That was a super long time to wait with a boy who wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything. Needless to say, he was actually really good. He had a few visitors to help pass the time.

He was so cute in his little hospital gown, I didn't even know they made them that small!

Daddy was making him laugh

Gammy showed up, with a special present....

Nathan loved it!

Then Mimi showed up with one!

He loved playing with the truck and making the "vroom vroom" sounds

Then the nurses brought by a bunny made by the Winnsboro ladies from the church of Christ. That was really sweet of those ladies.

"Look at my bunny mommy"

Aunt Stacy came too, but for some reason, I don't have any pictures. I think we had already put the camera and all of his things up by the time she got there.

He then headed back and had his surgery. It lasted about 20 minutes so it wasn't too bad. The recovery however, was AWFUL!!! Apparently he woke up too soon and was in hysterics, so they had to come and get me and matthew. After about 45 minutes, we finally got him settled and back to sleep. That was by far the worst part.

We finally got to take him home around 12.On our way out, we got to see Aunt Jamie, Holli, and Colton!

When we got home, we had some special visitors that night.

Aunt Stacy, Uncle Chris, and Reese came by and brought Nathan some of his favorite things....BALOONS and BUBBLES!!! He enjoyed seeing them and playing with Reese.

Sweet Cousins hugging

Baloons and basketball bubbles!

It was a long day, but we made it! Thanks to the Lord for letting everything go smoothly!
